Token launch consulting: tokenomics, venues and sequencing

Most of what determines how a token trades is decided before it launches: supply, vesting, which venues to target and when. Consulting is EchoTrade's advisory work on those decisions, drawn from supporting more than 2,000 launches across 90+ exchanges since 2023.

What it covers

How should supply, allocations and vesting be structured?

Supply, allocations and vesting reviewed the way the market will read them, before they are locked into contracts and stop being adjustable.

When does the audit need to be finished?

We work with established audit firms and coordinate the review as part of your launch timeline, so the audit is finished before exchanges ask to see it.

What has to happen in what order before TGE?

What has to happen in what order ahead of a TGE, and where in that timeline each decision stops being reversible.

Which exchanges are worth targeting at your stage?

Which exchanges are worth targeting at your stage, what each will expect of you, and what to fix before you apply.

Who else does a launch need, and how do you find them?

Tokenomics, audit, legal, marketing:

A launch needs all of it, and most founders are sourcing each one blind.

We have spent years building the connections across those categories, and we coordinate them so the pieces are ready before you get listed rather than in the week you needed them.

How it works

01

Tokenomics

What is the first decision that stops being reversible?

Vesting.

Once the team and investor schedules are written into contracts and the token is minted, they cannot be changed without a governance event that the market reads as a warning. The standard in 2026 is a six to twelve month cliff for the team, then two to four years of vesting, with investor allocations on comparable terms.

Three things make experienced traders close the tab: a team allocation above roughly 25%, a short cliff, and investor entry prices far below the public price. All of it is in the tokenomics guide.

02

Timeline

How far before TGE should consulting start?

Three months is comfortable.

Two is workable. Under six weeks, the audit is already late and the venue decision is being made under pressure. The sequence of what has to be done, and when each item stops being optional, is the token launch checklist.

03

Budget

What does a token launch cost end to end?

Four budget lines that founders usually count as one.

The exchange listing fee, which varies widely by venue. The Market Maker, at $2,500 to $10,000 per month on a retainer plus the inventory in the book. The audit, from an established firm. And marketing.

Treating the listing fee as the whole cost is the mistake we see most often. Each line is broken down in how much it costs to list a token on an exchange and how much a crypto Market Maker costs.

04

TGE day

What happens on TGE day, and what should be ready?

The book has to be live before the first trade, not after it.

Pricing consistent across every venue from the first minute. The team's announcement timed to when the depth is funded, not before.

Hour by hour, the day looks like what happens on token generation event day.

FAQ

Separate, and usually the earlier engagement. Most projects start with consulting two to three months before TGE and add crypto Market Making four to six weeks before the listing. They can be engaged together.

Both. If the model already exists, we review supply, allocations and vesting the way the market will read them and say what to change before it is locked into contracts. If it doesn't, we build it with you from the same questions: who holds the tokens, at what price, and when each holder can start to sell. The framework is in the tokenomics guide.

On the structure side, yes. Investor allocations, vesting and entry prices are the terms traders check first once the token is live, so we review them before the round closes, while they can still change. A round priced far below the public price is one of the first things experienced traders notice.

It depends on the token's stage, the budget for inventory, and where the holders already are. Across 90+ venues we see which exchanges fit which token profiles, and that advice is free if you ask before the listing date is announced. It is much less useful after.
