What Happens in the First 7 Days After a Binance Alpha Launch? EchoTrade Desk Data
EchoTrade desk data · Published November 2026

In the first 7 days after a Binance Alpha launch, demand peaks early and fades fast. Across the Alpha launches EchoTrade has supported, about 40% of day-one volume arrives in the first 4 hours. Across the Alpha market as a whole, only around 30% of tokens still trade with a spread under 2% by day 7.
Those two numbers describe the same problem from both ends. Attention on Binance Alpha is short and concentrated, and most order books are not built for what comes after it. This note puts the first week into numbers, from the desk side.
EchoTrade is a crypto market maker for token launches. Our desk has supported over 40 Binance Alpha launches and 2,000+ token launches overall, across 90+ exchanges.
What are the key numbers?
Four findings from EchoTrade's desk, November 2026:
- Over 40 Binance Alpha launches supported by EchoTrade.
- About 40% of day-one volume happens in the first 4 hours on the Alpha launches EchoTrade supports.
- Around 30% of Binance Alpha tokens across the market still trade with a spread under 2% by day 7.
- RWA is the sector EchoTrade sees growing fastest among Alpha launch requests.
Where do these numbers come from?
The volume figure comes from the Alpha launches EchoTrade's desk has supported. The spread figure looks at Binance Alpha tokens across the market, not only the ones we support. It is the share of tokens whose bid-ask spread was still below 2% seven days after their showcase.
We use 2% because it is the line exchanges themselves draw. MEXC, for example, can issue a warning when a token's average daily spread stays above 2% for 15 days, under its published warning rules. No client names or token-level data are included.
What happens in the first 4 hours?
Most of the day happens in the first 4 hours. On the Alpha launches EchoTrade supports, about 40% of day-one volume lands in that window.
Binance features an Alpha token inside Binance Wallet for around 24 hours, with a countdown before it goes live and one-tap purchases through Quick Buy, according to Binance Academy. Users who have been watching the countdown buy at the open. Alpha 2.0 lets users trade the same tokens from their Binance Spot account too, so demand comes from two directions at once.
Alpha purchases settle on-chain, so the price each buyer gets depends on the liquidity behind the token. With enough depth, the wave is absorbed in steps. With a thin pool, the first hour prints a spike and the rest of the day becomes a slide. That chart is the one holders, partners and exchanges will look back at.
What happens during the rest of day one?
Demand thins out through the afternoon. The remaining 60% of day-one volume is spread across about 20 hours, so the book has to work very differently from the opening.
In the opening hours, the job is absorbing one-directional buying. Later in the day, early buyers start taking profit and flow turns two-sided. A pool sized only for the opening rush often has too little on the other side of the book once selling starts.
What happens on days 2 and 3?
The featured window closes and attention drops sharply. Binance says Alpha tokens may still appear in the Alpha area of Markets after the showcase, but they are no longer in front of every Wallet user.
This is when the gap between projects shows. On the calls we take, the most common pattern after Alpha is a token that was supported only for the showcase. By day two its spread has widened and there is little depth on either side. Airdrop and Alpha Box recipients, who received tokens for Alpha Points, are often selling into that thin book at the same time.
What happens by day 7?
By day 7, the market has settled into whatever the order book can hold. Looking at Binance Alpha tokens in general, only around 30% still trade with a spread under 2%. Roughly 7 in 10 have a wider spread than most centralized exchanges accept for long.
Day 7 matters beyond Binance Alpha. In March 2025 Binance introduced a review framework for Alpha tokens. Per Cointelegraph's report, its quantitative criteria include trading volume stability, liquidity depth, on-chain transaction frequency and holder distribution, and tokens that fall short can be removed. Any centralized exchange the token applies to next will look at the same spread and depth history. EchoTrade's guide to Binance Alpha vs a Binance spot listing covers how the two paths differ.
Does a Binance Alpha launch lead to a Binance spot or futures listing?
Nobody can guarantee it. Binance describes Alpha as a pre-listing selection pool: some Alpha tokens are later considered for a Binance listing, and the decision always belongs to Binance. No market maker, launchpad or agency can promise a listing, and anyone who does is selling something that isn't theirs to sell.
What we can share is what we see. Among EchoTrade's own clients, almost every project that launched on Binance Alpha went on to get a Binance spot or futures listing afterwards. If you're planning the path from Alpha to a Binance listing, message us on Telegram and we'll walk you through how we approach it.
Which sectors are launching on Binance Alpha?
RWA is the sector EchoTrade sees growing fastest. Over the last few months, tokenized real-world asset projects have made up a rising share of the Alpha launch requests our desk receives.
For RWA tokens, the first week carries an extra test. Their holders and partners tend to expect steadier markets than a typical early-stage token, so a wide spread on day 7 is noticed sooner.
What's the difference between a successful Binance Alpha launch and an unsuccessful one?
Successful launches plan the first 30 days, not only the 24 hours. Across the 40+ Alpha launches EchoTrade has supported, our clients' first-week numbers look very different from the market picture above. Behind that are the same four things, launch after launch:
- Depth sized for the opening wave, with inventory in place before the countdown, not moved during it.
- Liquidity on both sides of the book from the first hour, so the turn from buying to profit-taking doesn't empty one side.
- One price on every venue. If the token already trades elsewhere, the Alpha price and the centralized exchange price stay aligned. Otherwise arbitrage closes the gap at the project's expense.
- Quoting that continues after the showcase, with the same spread and uptime commitments on day 7 as on day 1.
None of this depends on Binance's selection, which belongs to Binance alone. It depends on preparation, and on the market maker you work with. How we approach it is in our guide to choosing a market maker for Binance Alpha. The mechanics behind it are covered in how crypto market making works.

FAQ
How long does demand last after a Binance Alpha launch?
Most of it is concentrated in the first hours. Across the Alpha launches EchoTrade has supported, about 40% of day-one volume happens in the first 4 hours after the countdown ends. Binance features a token for around 24 hours, and attention drops sharply once that window closes.
What happens to Binance Alpha tokens after the 24-hour showcase?
Most order books thin out within days. Looking at Binance Alpha tokens across the market, only around 30% still trade with a spread under 2% by day 7, according to EchoTrade desk data. Tokens remain tradable after the showcase, but with far less attention.
Can Binance remove a token from Binance Alpha?
Yes. In March 2025 Binance introduced a review framework for Alpha tokens, with quantitative criteria including trading volume stability, liquidity depth, on-chain transaction frequency and holder distribution. Tokens that don't meet the standards can be removed.
Does a Binance Alpha launch lead to a Binance listing?
Not automatically, and nobody can guarantee it. Binance describes Alpha as a pre-listing selection pool, and the listing decision belongs to Binance alone. Among EchoTrade's own clients, almost every project that launched on Binance Alpha later got a Binance spot or futures listing.
Does a token need a market maker for Binance Alpha?
In practice, most do. The showcase brings concentrated demand in the first hours, and the market has to hold on every venue afterwards. A crypto market maker plans the depth for both, ideally onboarded two to four weeks before the countdown.
Which sector is growing fastest on Binance Alpha?
Among the Alpha launch requests EchoTrade receives, RWA (tokenized real-world assets) is the sector growing fastest in late 2026.
Who publishes this data?
EchoTrade, a crypto market maker founded in 2023, publishes this data. It has supported 2,000+ token launches, including 40+ on Binance Alpha, across 90+ exchanges, and is an official liquidity partner of MEXC.
