Best Crypto Token Unlock Trackers in 2026: 10 Tools Compared

Updated October 2026

Best Crypto Token Unlock Trackers

The short version: the best token unlock trackers in 2026 are Tokenomist, CoinLaunch, CryptoRank, DefiLlama, DropsTab, Tokenomics.com, Blockworks, CoinGlass, CoinMarketCap and CoinCodex. Tokenomist is the reference tool for professional research, and DefiLlama is the best fully free option with no login. They differ in coverage, how clearly they separate cliff and linear vesting, who receives each unlock, and whether alerts and data exports are free.

Upcoming token unlocks are one of the few supply events everyone can see in advance. Tokenomics.com's calendar counted 726 unlock events worth $3.7 billion in October 2026 alone. The trackers below are how traders, funds and founders keep up with them.

We look at unlock calendars from the other side of the trade. At EchoTrade, a crypto Market Making firm, we manage order books across 90+ exchanges as part of our crypto Market Making services, and every client's vesting schedule is part of how we plan depth for the weeks around each unlock. These are the tools we and the teams we work with actually open.

How the list is ordered. By how much dedicated unlock data each tool gives for free: vesting schedule detail, allocation breakdowns, upcoming unlock calendars and alerts. Every tool is described with the same template, using what it shows on its own pages, checked on 31 October 2026.

What is a token unlock tracker?

A token unlock tracker shows when locked tokens become transferable, how many, and who receives them.

Most tokens launch with a large share of supply locked for the team, investors, ecosystem and community. A token vesting schedule sets when each group's tokens are released: usually a cliff (nothing, then a large release on one date) followed by linear vesting (smaller, regular releases). Crypto vesting trackers collect those schedules across hundreds of projects into one calendar of upcoming token unlocks, usually with the size of each release in tokens, in dollars and as a share of market cap or circulating supply.

How do you choose a token unlock tracker?

Check six things. The first three decide whether the data is useful at all.

  • Cliff and linear labelled separately. A tracker that mixes them makes a steady daily emission look like a one-day shock, or the reverse.
  • Allocation by recipient. Team and investor unlocks behave differently from ecosystem or community unlocks.
  • Size in context. The release as a percentage of market cap or circulating supply, not only in dollars.
  • Sources. Whether the schedule comes from on-chain vesting contracts, official documents or both.
  • Alerts and watchlists. Whether you get notified before an unlock, and whether that's free.
  • Exports and API. CSV downloads for a spreadsheet, or an API if you're building models.

The 10 Best Token Unlock Trackers in 2026

Best Crypto Token Unlock Trackers in 2026

1. Tokenomist

Tokenomist, formerly Token Unlocks, is the dedicated unlock platform most often cited by professional investors. It tracks cliff and linear vesting across 500+ tokens, with source-verified schedules and allocation breakdowns. Beyond the unlock calendar it covers emissions, on-chain claims (how much vested supply recipients have actually withdrawn), fundraising, buybacks and burns. Free alerts go to Telegram. Its API is used by firms including Coinbase, Grayscale, Paradigm and Wintermute, according to its own site. It also publishes a weekly unlock digest.

Coverage: 500+ tokens. Price: free dashboard and alerts; Pro and API are paid. Best for: professional research and anyone who needs on-chain claims data.

2. CoinLaunch

CoinLaunch's token unlock tracker puts vesting schedules next to fundraising data. Every token in the tracker shows how much the project raised, alongside the share of supply still locked and the days left in its vesting period. That context matters: an unlock to investors who bought at a fraction of today's price behaves differently from one to a treasury. It has a daily unlock schedule with dollar totals per day, a list of the top upcoming unlocks ranked by share of market cap, and a filterable table of 280+ tokens with unlocked and locked percentages. It's part of a wider CoinLaunch database of projects, funding rounds, funds and launchpads.

Coverage: 280+ tokens. Price: free. Best for: checking unlocks against how much a project raised and from whom.

3. CryptoRank

CryptoRank's token unlocks dashboard combines an unlock calendar and vesting schedule charts with the platform's fundraising and token sale data. It has separate views for TGE unlocks and overall unlock dynamics, a list of important upcoming unlocks, and data downloads. You can add tokens to a watchlist and get notified before the next unlock.

Coverage: 460+ tokens with tracked vesting. Price: free dashboard; advanced features paid. Best for: linking unlocks to the original token sale terms.

4. DefiLlama

DefiLlama's unlocks page is free and needs no login. It tracks 338 protocols and shows upcoming unlock totals for the next 7 and 30 days, the top unlocks over 24 hours and 30 days, and a post-unlock price impact view for each token. There's also a calendar view.

Coverage: 338 protocols. Price: free. Best for: a quick, free market-wide view and post-unlock price data.

5. DropsTab

DropsTab's vesting tracker comes from the team behind ICODrops and is built around fundraising history. Each token's vesting chart splits supply by allocation bucket and links unlock events to the funding rounds involved. The upcoming unlocks table filters by Top 300, Perpetual, DeFi and Blockchain, and shows unlock progress and the next release as a share of market cap. It also offers an API and a Telegram bot.

Coverage: hundreds of tokens across its database. Price: free; API paid. Best for: seeing which funding round a given unlock belongs to.

6. Tokenomics.com

Tokenomics.com's unlocks calendar is the most visual of the ten: a monthly calendar with the largest unlocks shown on each day, plus monthly totals, the largest unlock day and the largest single unlock. Alongside the calendar it has an unlock indicator and token revenue and valuation data. The same company offers tokenomics audits.

Coverage: 700+ unlock events a month. Price: free to view. Best for: planning around the biggest unlock days of the month.

7. Blockworks

Blockworks' token unlocks analytics (the old Messari unlocks link now redirects here) separates cliff unlocks from daily emissions, lists upcoming notable cliffs, and shows 7-day price performance after an unlock. A free allocation analysis is available. Most of the detail sits behind a paid research subscription.

Coverage: the top 100 tokens and wider, depending on plan. Price: limited free view; full access paid. Best for: teams already paying for Blockworks research.

8. CoinGlass

CoinGlass's token unlock overview shows locked and unlocked supply, the next unlock's size and date, and a filter for small unlocks. The reason to use it is the rest of CoinGlass: funding rates, open interest and liquidation data sit one click away, so you can see an unlock in the context of derivatives positioning.

Coverage: major listed tokens. Price: free; API paid. Best for: derivatives traders.

9. CoinMarketCap

CoinMarketCap's token unlocks page lists vesting schedules and upcoming unlocks inside the market data site most traders already use. It's less detailed on allocations than the dedicated tools, but convenient for a quick check against price and volume.

Coverage: listed tokens with published schedules. Price: free. Best for: a quick cross-check.

10. CoinCodex

CoinCodex's token unlocks page adds unlock dates to the site's price and market pages. It works best as a supporting source next to a dedicated tracker, rather than as the main one.

Coverage: listed tokens with published schedules. Price: free. Best for: retail investors who want unlocks next to price data.

Which token unlock tracker should you use?

It depends on what you need the data for.

  • Professional research or an API: Tokenomist, or Blockworks if you already subscribe.
  • Unlocks against fundraising terms: CoinLaunch, CryptoRank or DropsTab.
  • Free and quick: DefiLlama, or CoinMarketCap for a cross-check.
  • Planning around the biggest unlock days: Tokenomics.com.
  • Unlocks next to derivatives data: CoinGlass.

Most serious users run two: one dedicated tracker for the schedule, and a second source to cross-check it. Schedules change, and trackers don't always update at the same speed.

How do you read upcoming token unlocks?

Look at four things, in this order.

Size against what the market trades. A release worth several days of trading volume is a different event from one worth a few hours of it. Percentage of supply is the better-known number but the weaker one.

Who receives it. Team and early-investor unlocks carry more sell risk than ecosystem or treasury unlocks, especially when investors bought far below the current price. In a token's first weeks, airdrop and Alpha Box distributions count here too: for tokens launching through Binance Alpha, they reach the market alongside the first scheduled unlocks, which is why we plan both together when working as a market maker for Binance Alpha launches.

Cliff or linear. A cliff lands on one day. Linear vesting arrives as a steady flow the market can price as a rate.

What the order book can absorb. On the unlock days we cover, what decides the outcome is the depth within 1% and 2% of mid price on each venue, not the headline size of the unlock. How that plays out hour by hour is in what happens to the book at the first unlock after TGE.

Have a large unlock coming up? We plan depth and spread across every venue for the weeks around it, with the vesting calendar built into the plan from onboarding. Talk to us about Market Making for your unlock.

Is your own token's vesting schedule shown correctly?

If you're a founder, check every tracker above for your own token. Traders price your unlocks from what those trackers show.

On the calls we take, we regularly see projects whose schedule is missing from the main trackers, outdated after a tokenomics change, or showing a cliff that has already moved. The market then prices an unlock that isn't coming, or misses one that is. Most trackers accept corrections: Tokenomist has a self-listing form, DropsTab has a listing request, and CryptoRank has a report-issue button on its unlock page.

Keep one source of truth (your published vesting schedule) and send the same version to every tracker. Our tokenomics guide covers how to structure the schedule itself, and the role a desk plays around unlocks is part of how crypto Market Making works. If you're choosing a desk before a large unlock, our comparison of the top crypto market makers covers 20 firms on venues, fee model and fit, and our breakdown of how much a crypto market maker costs explains the two pricing models.

FAQ

What is the best token unlock tracker in 2026?

For dedicated unlock research, Tokenomist is the most widely used, with on-chain claims data and free Telegram alerts. CoinLaunch, CryptoRank and DropsTab are strong when you want unlocks next to fundraising data, and DefiLlama is the best fully free option with no login.

Where can I see upcoming token unlocks for free?

DefiLlama, CoinLaunch, CoinMarketCap, CoinCodex and Tokenomics.com all show upcoming token unlocks for free. Tokenomist and CryptoRank have free dashboards, with more detail on paid plans.

What is a token vesting schedule?

A token vesting schedule sets when each group of holders, such as the team, investors, ecosystem and community, can transfer their tokens. Most combine a cliff, where nothing unlocks until a set date, with linear vesting, where tokens release in regular amounts after it.

What is the difference between a cliff unlock and linear vesting?

A cliff unlock releases a large amount of tokens on a single date. Linear vesting releases smaller amounts on a regular schedule, often daily or monthly. Cliffs are usually the events traders watch most closely, because the supply arrives at once.

Do token unlocks always push the price down?

No. Unlocked tokens only affect the price if recipients sell them, and many don't sell immediately. The impact depends on the size of the unlock against trading volume, who receives it, and how much depth the order book has on the day.

Does a project need a market maker for a token unlock?

A large cliff unlock is easier for the market to absorb when the order book has depth on both sides on every venue where the token trades. A crypto market maker plans that depth around the vesting calendar, usually from the weeks before the unlock through the days after it. Projects comparing options can start with the two common pricing models: a monthly retainer or a token loan with call options.

How can a project correct its unlock data on trackers?

Most trackers accept corrections. Tokenomist has a self-listing form, DropsTab takes listing requests and CryptoRank has a report-issue option on its unlocks page. Send every tracker the same published vesting schedule, so the data matches across all of them.
