Best Crypto Market Makers for an RWA Project

The short version: a tokenized real-world asset needs a Market Maker that keeps the trading price tight to the asset's reference value, can hold a permissioned token if transfers are restricted, and is a counterparty your institutional buyers will accept. Spread against the reference value matters more than volume. EchoTrade, GSR, Wintermute, Keyrock and B2C2 each fit a different RWA setup. The general comparison of these desks is in our top crypto market makers list; this page reads them against what an RWA token needs.
How is market making different for an RWA token?
The price is not being discovered. It is being held close to something that already has a value.
A tokenized treasury, fund share or credit product usually has a reference value: a NAV, a redemption price, an underlying asset quoted elsewhere. The Market Maker's job is to keep the trading price tight around it on every venue. A 1% spread on a memecoin is normal. A 1% gap between a treasury token and its NAV is a problem holders will notice.
Two other things change. Some RWA tokens are permissioned, meaning only approved wallets can hold or receive them, so the desk's own accounts have to be allowlisted before it can quote at all. And where tokens can be minted and redeemed with the issuer at the reference value, that creates a natural arbitrage band, and the desk's quotes have to sit inside it.
Why does the Market Maker's regulatory status matter more for RWA?
Because the buyers are often institutions, and institutions have counterparty rules.
A fund buying a tokenized treasury will usually need to know which entity it is trading against, where that entity is registered, and how it is audited. For a memecoin, nobody asks. For an RWA token, it can decide whether a buyer participates at all. That is why the profiles below say where each firm is registered when the firm publishes it.
Market Makers Focused on RWA Projects in 2026
Five desks, read against the reference-value and counterparty questions above. The general comparison is in our top crypto market makers list.
EchoTrade
Founded in 2023, EchoTrade quotes order books across more than 90 centralized and decentralized exchanges and is an official liquidity partner of MEXC. For an RWA token, the useful part is keeping one price consistent across several venues, so the reference value holds wherever a holder trades. Tokens stay in the issuer's own exchange accounts. Treasury building and launch advisory sit alongside the quoting. More at EchoTrade.
Venues: 90+ centralized and decentralized exchanges. RWA fit: RWA tokens listing on centralized exchanges that need consistent pricing across several venues.
GSR
GSR, trading since 2013, is registered with the UK FCA for cryptoasset activities and authorised as a Major Payment Institution in Singapore. It has published RWA-specific work, including institutional OTC liquidity for tokenized real-world assets with DigiFT, and has led a funding round in a tokenization platform. It suits issuers selling to institutions.
Venues: not published. RWA fit: issuers that want an institutional counterparty with published RWA OTC work.
Wintermute
Wintermute matters for RWA issuers mainly because of its registrations: UK FCA for cryptoasset activities and, since 2026, a US broker-dealer. The firm was founded in London in 2017. Alongside token liquidity it runs OTC in spot, options, forwards and CFDs. For an RWA issuer with US institutional buyers, the broker-dealer is the part to ask about.
Venues: not published. RWA fit: larger RWA issuers with institutional and US-facing buyers.
Keyrock
Keyrock, founded in Brussels in 2017, reports 85+ exchanges, 1,400 markets and 220+ people across 36 countries, with OTC and options desks added in 2023. Its 2026 Series C included SC Ventures and Ripple. For an RWA token that needs broad venue coverage and hedging through options, the scale is the offer.
Venues: 85+ exchanges, 1,400 markets. RWA fit: RWA tokens that need wide venue coverage plus derivatives.
B2C2
B2C2 is built for the institutional buyer an RWA issuer is likely selling to: London-headquartered, institutions only, with a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation completed in July 2026. In June 2026 it supported a structured note that integrated Ondo's USDY, a tokenized yield product. It fits RWA issuers whose product sits inside institutional finance.
Venues: not published. RWA fit: institutional RWA products, with published work around tokenized yield assets.
What should an RWA issuer ask a Market Maker?
Six questions. The first two do not come up for most tokens.
- Can your accounts hold our token if transfers are permissioned? And how long allowlisting takes.
- Which regulated entity contracts with us, and where is it registered?
- What spread will you hold against our reference value, per venue? Not just bid-ask, but distance from NAV.
- How do you handle mint and redeem windows? Where do your quotes sit relative to the redemption price.
- What depth will you commit to within 1% and 2% of mid?
- How is it reported, and how often?

FAQ
Do RWA tokens need a Market Maker?
If they trade on an exchange, yes. Without one, the trading price drifts away from the asset's reference value, and holders who want to exit pay the gap. A desk keeps the price tight to the reference and the book deep enough to exit at a fair price.
What is different about market making for tokenized treasuries or fund shares?
The price is anchored to a NAV or redemption value rather than discovered by the market. The desk's job is keeping the trading price tight around it, inside the band created by minting and redemption with the issuer.
What if our RWA token is permissioned?
Then the desk's wallets and exchange accounts have to be allowlisted before it can hold or quote the token. Ask each desk how long that takes and whether it has done it before, because it adds time to onboarding.
Does the Market Maker need to be regulated for an RWA token?
It depends on who buys the token. If institutions are the buyers, they often have counterparty rules that require a registered or licensed entity. Ask your buyers before you choose the desk, not after.
Can a Market Maker guarantee the token trades at NAV?
No. A desk can commit to spreads, depth and uptime on the venues it covers. It cannot guarantee a price, and the arbitrage band set by minting and redemption is what keeps the price close to NAV over time.
Listing an RWA token?
Bring your exchange list and how the token is minted and redeemed. Those two answers decide most of the setup. Tell us about your token. If you are still comparing desks, start with the top crypto market makers list.
